Sci-fi manga Cobra’s NFT project announced

An NFT collection featuring “Cobra,” a popular science fiction manga by Takeichi Terasawa, will be launched as the second leg of the NFT project Otaku Culture Studio (OCS), animation-related firm A3 announced on October 6.
Cobra is a story about the legendary space pirate Cobra, who, equipped with a special high-performance ray gun called “psycho gun” in his left arm, travels across the galaxy with his partner Armaloid Lady. An animated film and TV series, “Space Cobra,” were broadcast in 1982, and a second TV series was broadcast in 2010. As of April 2018, a total of 50 million copies of the manga have been sold around the world.
The OCS project was launched in August and aims to bring existing anime, manga, and games to Web3, allowing fans and creators to enhance the works together.
The first phase of the project saw the release of the NFTs for the animated film “Drifting Apartment Complex that Tells Rain,” which was shown in cinema in September and distributed on Netflix video distribution service. All its 1,111 NFTs were sold out in one hour.
The details of the Cobra NFTs will be announced at a later date, and OCS plans to release more NFTs on a wide variety of content in the future. The company also plans to develop and expand the project in collaboration with ANITOKYO, an NFT fan community that collaborates with various creators for original content.
