RTFKT to launch Clone X Forging Season One
NFT studio RTFKT has announced the first season of the Clone X Forging system, which will allow owners to redeem physical clothing items based on the particular NFTs they hold.
The collection will be launched on August 31 and open for minting for a week. Afterwards, users can redeem their items, ranging from T-shirts, hoodies, jackets to caps, between September 7 and 14. Each user can mint up to two of each item.
The Clone X NFT project is a collaboration between contemporary artist Takashi Murakami and RTFKT, consisting of 20,000 3D avatars divided into eight DNA types with varying levels of rarity. The collection recorded a transaction volume of over US$65 million within three weeks of its launch.
RTFKT was founded in 2020 and acquired by sportswear brand Nike in December 2021.
