Move-to-earn game Dustland Runner launches ape-themed campaign with Animoca Brands

Hong Kong blockchain powerhouse Animoca Brands and digital fitness company OliveX have partnered on an allowlist campaign for OliveX’s signature move-to-earn game Dustland Runner.
Users on the allowlist will be able to take part in the mint of Dustland Runner’s Operation Ape: Exclusive Access Pass NFT this month, Animoca Brands announced on Tuesday. Those who have completed missions in Dustland Runner will be rewarded with DOSE, the OliveX Fitness Metaverse utility token. Access pass holders will then be granted exclusive entry to a series of ape-themed missions that offer additional rewards.
In Dustland Runner, the world’s first “proof of workout” audio adventure for runners, users progress their post-apocalyptic game story by going on runs in the real world. They will earn virtual rewards including NFTs and DOSE that can be used to upgrade and progress their adventure.
Operation Ape missions will ask players to help a colony of apes who are threatened by wasteland pirates.
DOSE earned from Dustland Runner can be swapped for ApeCoin, an ERC-20 governance and utility token issued by ApeCoin DAO, after OliveX sets up a DOSE/ApeCoin liquidity pool in the coming months.
In addition to participating in the joint campaign, players can also qualify for the allowlist in three steps by:
- Creating or logging in to a Dustland account
- Downloading the Dustland Runner app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- Playing the game and completing missions to get three in-game “completion tickets” on the inventory page OR holding three Kettlemine NFTs
As well, Animoca Brands will allocate 30 allowlist spots to each of its selected projects, namely The Sandbox, Benji Bananas, Crazy Defense Heroes, REVV Racing, Torque Squad, GAMEE and MadWorld, the company said.
