Game guild YGG Japan raises US$3.03m

YGG Japan, a blockchain game guild operated by Web3 gaming company ForN, has raised  about 400 million yen (US$3.03 million), taking the total amount of funds raised to . approximately 750 million yen.

The latest investment came from game-related companies, including big names such as Square Enix, Sega, and GREE, as well as MARBLEX Corp, enish, Adways Ventures, Coincheck, Labs, Vector, Infinity Ventures Crypto, CAICA DIGITAL, CAICA DIGITAL Days, Emoote, Arriba Studios, Colorful Marketing Limited, KingdomVerse, ForN Gaming Guild, Eureka Entertainment Ltd. and 18 other companies.

YGG Japan is responsible for the operations of Yield Guild Games (YGG), one of the world’s largest blockchain gaming guilds, in Japan. It was established in March 2022 through a partnership between YGG and ForN. It operates the blockchain game platform “GabeeTown” to provide “Play to Earn” games, and also supports the launch of games using Japanese IP and original blockchain games for the global market.

Japan is the world’s third largest gaming market after China and the United States, and has the highest per capita gaming expenditure in the world. However, many users are still new to Web3. 

YGG Japan will use the funds for recruitment, product development, marketing and promotion.
