SHIBUYA109, Facebook Japan to open collaboration space for youngsters

Shibuya Entertainment, which operates SHIBUYA109 department stores, will open an event space in its facilities to support creators after forming a business alliance with Facebook Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of Meta.

The event space called “Creator Collaboration Space” will be opened in the chain’s Shibuya store in Tokyo on March 3 with a focus on proposing solutions using real locations and Instagram.

With the aim of nurturing new creators and promoting collaborations among young people, the event space will be used to hold events, workshops for the so-called “Generation Z,” as well as conduct group interviews and exchanges with SHIBUYA109 lab., a youth marketing agency operated by SHIBUYA109 Entertainment.

It has also been earmarked as a venue for generating ideas for both online and offline marketing. An exclusive agency, zero, which has specialists such as VFX artists and CG creators, will participate in an event, and together with SHIBUYA109 lab. and Meta, will propose marketing measures catered for Generation Z.
